In continuation of my despatch No. 69 of the 18th.
ultimo, I have the honour to enclose copy and translation
of a newspaper report of a public meeting, held on June
29th., under the auspices of the Self Government Society,
at which inflammatory speeches were made with regard to
the "Fatshan* case and the Maoao Delimitation question.
The latter referred to by the first speaker was
in
an open letter to the Portuguese Consul-General, published
in all the Canton newspapers on the 18th. ultimo,
which the Society called upon M. de Moraes to apologize
for the accusations against the witnesses in the "Fatshan*
case, the Society and the Press. The remarks complained
